‘Tis the season to be generous!
Christmas is a wonderful time of year. Our homes are welcoming thanks to the tinsel, decor and lights, not to mention the tempting scent of freshly baked goodies! We take this moment to share our best wishes for a happy holiday season and our sincere thanks for your loyalty and goodwill throughout the year.
For many however, the Holidays are an especially difficult time. From those without a home, to those without food on the table, to families with little means to spoil their children, to those who have lost a loved one, the Holidays are not as bright as ours.
Generosity is a cornerstone of the holiday season. So we hope you will take the time to bring light to someone’s life. Remember that generosity is not only about tangible items. Donating your time, energy and talents are just as helpful and often more meaningful. The opportunities under your own roof are boundless and can also bring your family closer together. Here are three simple ideas to inspire you:
Make hand-crafted cards and deliver them to a local hospital, palliative care residence or a nursing home.
Bake some extra batches of your holiday desserts and share them with a local emergency shelter like l’Aiguillage.
Go through your bathroom cabinets and find those unused treasures like hand creams, soaps, lotions and make-up to pass them onto a local women’s shelter like La Passerelle.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Habitations Robert!
P.S. Our offices will be closed from December 18 to January 10. We look forward to seeing you in 2016!
